Dry Fly Fishing
The Blackwater River is unquestionably one of the best dry fly fisheries in North America. This 140-mile chain of river-connected lakes runs through one of the most remote sections of British Columbia.
It is uncrowded and loaded with hot, native rainbow trout. This unique strain of rainbow trout are as agressive as they are beautiful.
The drawing card to the Blackwater River is the dry fly action as the trout fall for large, #8's and #10's, royal wuffs, elk hair caddis, stimulators, humpies and grasshoppers.
Wade or Float
You can wade or float this incredible river and fly fish for eager, aggressive rainbow trout. The Blackwater River offers great pocket water and excellent drifts and runs.
This is the dry fly trout fishing you've always wanted to experience. The Blackwater River is fly fishing only, single barbless hooks and no bait.
Through 15 years of experience in this fishery, we have developed highly successful methods and techniques.
For trolling or spin fishermen the lake offers rainbow trout, lake trout and kokanee fishing. Our season runs from June 15 to September 15th.
